News & Events: Belle of the Show

We have a winner of our Doggy Poser competition at Herts County Show – the aptly named beautiful Bella.

The way Bella gazed adoringly at her ‘mum’ as she posed in our Doggy Photo booth was big deciding factor in a fiercely fought competition!

Bella is an 8 year old staffie, who joined her new family in St Albans two years ago from NAWT (National Animal Welfare Trust) Watford where she had lived for 18 months. She didn’t have much of history and her new owners have no idea why no one would have wanted her as she is just simply a wonderful companion.

Her’ mum’, Dana told us that “She is the apple of our eye and was my husband’s engagement gift to me – he proposed at the rescue centre and we got married one year ago (our wedding anniversary is this Friday:))

“She is the best dog in the world – I know I am biased – all she wants is cuddles cuddles cuddles (and lots of treats!) – we could not imagine life without her…. I do wish more people would look at staffies as pets – they are the best !!!”

We are so pleased we chose Bella after receving this lovely story about her!
